Volleyball 101 is a single, stand-alone Event during which time we will introduce participants to the (ever increasingly popular) game of Volleyball. Experienced coaches/players will teach participants general aspects including history, aspects, positions, and strategy. Then comes the fun part.. hands on the Volleyballs! We will teach participants the proper techniques and body position that is essential for bump passing, open hand passing, and serving.

Volleyball 101 is designed for the beginner. This clinic is a very strongly recommended for those who have never participated in our programs as a prerequisite for our following Volleyball Clinic beginning on Tuesday October 13th, which is a 10-week program that will develop your childÃ?¢??s Volleyball skills, including: passing (bump and open hand), spiking, serving, blocking, covering, position, rotation and strategies, plus emphasizing and integrating teamwork and team spirit, with just a touch of discipline. These clinics will provide a strong foundation for your child to become a competitive player in the future, whether trying out for a school team or simply enjoyment during recreational play.

CDC precautions in place, as follows: Gym has 2 courts. Maximum capacity allowable in gym is 50 persons. We are limiting our roster to 40 participants and 3 coaches. Masks required. Spectators are NOT allowed in building at any time. All exit doors in corners of gym that lead to exterior of building will remain open for fresh air and cross ventilation. Heating units in corners of gym will be operational during cold weather so the gym will be nicely heated. Volleyballs will be sanitized prior to beginning of sessions. Participants will be required to use hand sanitizer prior to start of session and during breaks. Please provide your own sanitizer. Participants must enter through Lobby each night for temperature check and simple questionnaire; parents should be readily available just in case needed. Unless related and/or close contact is already established, participants shall keep a distance of at least 6 feet apart from others at all times. Liability waiver must be signed by parents prior to first session.
